EA publishes 25 sequels, 1 original work
New York Times has reported that out of the 26 games that EA plans to release before the end of 2005, 25 are sequels or continuations of previous franchises.I didn't actually notice this until I read the article. This might be one reason why I haven't really played any console games over the past year. I bought three console games, Madden '05, GT4, and GTA San Andreas. I may have played them each for one week. I haven't seen anything original in awhile. Madden '06 was released today and from what I've heard, no significant change what so ever. I think this is the year I won't be getting it.
